Switch to low beam when someone's coming the other way. The handlebar switch makes it a thumb-flick.

Choose 3000K yellow for bad weather. It bounces back less off rain and fog than cold white light.

Most riders fit the biggest light they can find and hope the bike copes. But the power doesn't come from the battery. It comes from the alternator, which is already feeding the bike. So every watt a light saves is headroom your bike keeps.
It only stores charge for starting and as a buffer.
The alternator does.
Whatever it makes, minus what the bike already uses, is your real ceiling.
So we chase light per watt.
The X1 Plus is rated 25W per light and the X2 Plus 45W, with copper cooling to keep output steady.
