Can I install X2 plus in Yamaha Aerox 155 scooty? Will it damage the battery?? Akshat Sharma asked on January 29, 2026
For the Yamaha Aerox 155, we can confirm that it is definitely compatible with the X1 Plus.
Regarding the X2 Plus, we cannot give a 100% confirmation. Although the Aerox 155 uses a 30A main fuse, which usually indicates an alternator output of around 300 watts, Yamaha has not officially specified the alternator output. Because of this uncertainty, we cannot be completely sure about the available power headroom.
To avoid any risk of battery drain or electrical issues, we do not recommend the X2 Plus for the Aerox 155 at this time. The X1 Plus is the safer and recommended option, and it will not damage the battery or the scooter’s electrical system.
If Yamaha releases confirmed alternator specifications in the future, we can reassess compatibility for the X2 Plus.

Yes, you can install the X2 Plus on both motorcycles.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 has an alternator output of approximately 300 watts (based on a 30A fuse), while the Versys-X 300 produces around 294 watts. After accounting for the motorcycle’s own electrical requirements, both bikes still have ample surplus power available for auxiliary accessories.
Since the X2 Plus consumes 90 watts in total (45W each), it fits well within the safe power envelope of both the Ninja 300 and the Versys-X 300. There will be no issues related to battery load, voltage drop, or wiring stress.
You can confidently install and use the X2 Plus on either motorcycle.

The minimum recommended battery for the X2 plus is 9Ah whereas the KTM 390Adv 2025 is 8Ah, can this X2 plus aux light still be installed and run safely without causing any issues to lumevo's harness and more importantly any voltage drop or current issues with the battery or wiring of the motorcycle in question? Battery capacity alone is not the sole factor we consider while determining compatibility. The primary parameter is the motorcycle’s alternator output. In the case of the KTM 390 Adventure 2025, the alternator output is around 230 watts, as specified in the owner’s manual.
From this, we deduct the motorcycle’s own electrical consumption—such as headlights, ECU, fuel pump, instrument cluster, and other electronics. This still leaves you with approximately 120 watts of usable headroom for auxiliary accessories.
The X2 Plus consumes 90 watts in total (45W per unit), which fits comfortably within this available power envelope. As a result, there will be no voltage drop, current imbalance, or stress on the motorcycle’s battery, wiring, or Lumevo’s harness.
Additionally, our harness is designed so that the lights cannot operate unless the motorcycle is running, ensuring the battery is never drained when the engine is off.
So yes — you can confidently install and run the X2 Plus on the KTM 390 Adventure 2025, even with an 8Ah battery, without any electrical or reliability concerns.
